The new Call of Duty is not being taken so well by fans. The super futuristic aesthetic which includes space dog fights and interplanetary battles is a far cry from the grounded military warfare fans have come to know and love about the series. As a result the Infinite Warfare trailer now sits at a staggering 1 million dislikes on YouTube. Wow!
Meanwhile Battlefield 1’s trailer sits comfortably at the polar opposite with nearly one million likes.
It’s clear that fans wanted something more classic, akin to Modern Warfare or possibly set earlier in WW era. I’m not sure if DICE or EA have wizards who predict the future but the timing couldn’t have been better.
Personally I’m interested in seeing how both turn out when they launch this fall.
