The stellar looking Final Fantasy XV movie, Kingsglaive, will be available digitally on August 27th according to streaming service VUDU.
Kingsglaive is a prequel of sorts with the events taking place before the game. It depicts the Neflhim invasion of the city of Insomnia which triggers an all out war between the two setting the stage for Final Fantasy XV. The events of movie were initially the starting chapters of Versus 13 but was changed to a feature film instead.
The movie has received a limited run in Japanese theaters with many praising it for its visuals and acting. Some of the people I know think it was better than Advent Children. Some countries such as Australia and the US will receive a limited theater release as well.
