Just when the hype surrounding the Nintendo Switch was starting to pick up, this happens.
A credible source (Laura Kate) has discovered lots of details regarding Nintendo’s newest home system such as the triggers being analog (thank God!) Sadly the biggest mystery surrounding its battery life seems to be what we expected: weak.
Source A (Nintendo) described the Switch as having a “mediocre” battery life. Source B (Ubisoft) has said a maximum battery life of three hours.
Well, that’s just terrible. Keep in mind that most mobiles that run high-end games typically last for this long, but we’re talking about a handheld game system were battery life plays a bigger role. Maybe this is why Nintendo wanted to market it as a home console first and foremost?
Another interesting tidbit is regarding the dock. It will apparently give the system a slight boost in performance most likely to display games at 1080 as opposed to the screen’s 720p display.
Time will tell if any of this is real however. Nintendo made it clear that that this is all the info we’re getting this year regarding the Switch. More news and tech specs should begin to surface early next year.
