Seems Like Nintendo is Killing Off Miiverse

While we know very little at this point in regards to the Switch’s online service it seems pretty clear that Nintendo is done with Miiverse. Aside from the fact it wasn’t even remotely mentioned during the conference the details shown on the website suggest it will instead let players share their content on the standard social media platforms.

Nowhere in the site’s online feature does it mention Miiverse. This honestly doesn’t come as a shock as the service itself was mostly tied to the Wii U’s menu hub and outside of that I don’t see it being anything that caught on. Not to mention how much money it costed cost to constantly monitor and censor out profanity and spoilers. Even if it does fully go away I won’t really be missing it much, I barely used it but it did have a sense of Nintendo charm that Facebook and Twitter will lack.
