Thanks to avid fans like BlueParadix we’re slowly getting more info on what happened at yesterday’s Joypolis event. We know that the next major Sonic game is coming next year but what about this year?
With it being Sonic’s 25th anniversary we should be expecting at least on major surprise. But it seems it won’t be happening. Takashi lizuka has now confirmed that only Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice and Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will be the only two Sonic games released this year.
BREAKING: Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice and M&S 2016 are the only games that we’re getting this year. More info soon.

Now some may find this ‘not right’ with it being Sonic’s 25th anniversary and all. However keep in mind that SEGA have stated that they want to invest putting in quality in their games starting with Sonic. Them delaying Fire and Ice to polish it up is probably a good first step.
