UPDATE: The PS4 Pro will strangely enough not support UHD Blu-Ray.
The PS4K (Neo) is real. It’s called the PS4 Pro and will allow you to play games in 4K.
Of course performance will vary based on the game but the general idea is that games will perform an average of 4K at 30FPS and 60 FPS in 1080p. Aside from 4K, the PS4 Pro will also be able to output HDR. PSVR will also take advantage of the performance boost.
As the rumors stated, there won’t be any Pro exclusives instead games will work the same. However those that need to take advantage of Pro will need to support it. This can be applied through an update.
Here are some of theΒ titles we know will support Pro features:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remaster
- Final Fantasy XV
- Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Days Gone
- Watch_Dogs 2
- For Honor
- Mass Effect Andromeda
- Uncharted 4
- Battlefield 1
The PlayStation 4 Pro will be out in November 10 and will retail for $399. And yea, it looks like a sandwich.
