There’s a new JRPG on the horizon from Square Enix and judging from the concept art it looks promising.

Project Prelude Rune will be developed by a new Square Enix group called Istolia which is the Greek word for Story. The studio promises to create unforgettable story experiences that will resonate with players. Now that’s a statement!

I do hope something memorable comes out of this. A lot of recent JRPG Square Enix games that weren’t Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts (with few exceptions like The World Ends With You) have been lukewarm experiences that were overall forgettable. All I’m saying is that Project Rune better not be another Infinite Undiscovery.
