The Nintendo Switch will add GameCube to its virtual console catalogue according to EuroGamer. The first three games expected to work will be Luigi’s Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
GameCube support is already tested and working, we understand, and three Nintendo games have already been prepped for Switch.
Those games are Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi’s Mansion and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
The Wii U missed an opportunity by not allowing GameCube support then again it couldn’t thanks to the lack of analog triggers. This made games like Super Mario Sunshine pretty much unplayable. This confirms that the Switch will indeed have analog triggers which is definitely a plus.
