Yooka-Laylee Finally Gets a Release Dates. Ditches Wii U Version in Favor of Switch

The Banjo spiritual successor made by former Rare employees, Yooka-Laylee, is getting a release date.

Today we can finally confirm that Yooka-Laylee will launch on April 11, 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux, with pre-orders now available at £34.99 / $39.99 / €39.99 for non-Kickstarter backers in both digital and physical formats from all participating stores worldwide!

Here’s a new gameplay trailer to celebrate!

Sadly Wii U owners will miss out as that particular version has been cancelled due to technical issues. Though that can easily be substituted for “it’s dead, Jim”. A Switch version is now instead being considered which honestly makes way more sense seeing as how it will launch a month after Nintendo’s new console.
